Attention all members, this December brings with it a number of important events, not the least of which being our Annual General Membership Meeting. While UNA-MD strives to provide enriching and entertaining events throughout the year, the organization does need to take care of its business matters once in a while. Items to be addressed at this meeting include a review of the CY2006 activities of UNA-MD, the election of six members for the Executive Board, and a review of the budget for CY2007.  You may wish to download a FLIER for the event.

In addition, Dr. Kenneth W. Allen, Ph.D., will present a keynote address on the topic of "Curbing Global Warming: Electoral Change and Environmental Opportunity". Dr. Allen will explore such questions as:

• What acute dangers do we face in the Baltimore Area, in Maryland, and in the world?
• What inhibits our response?
• What can we citizens, Maryland, and America do?
• What opportunities does today’s political environment present, and what did the recent elections change?
