The Young Professionals for International Cooperation (YPIC) of the
United Nations Association of Maryland invites juniors and seniors from
Maryland high school to apply for a Summer 2006 internship. Interns will collaboratively work with YPIC leaders, conducting a majority of work over the Internet. Interns will be involved in planning YPIC events, member outreach, media and research projects. Students will be expected to attend UNA-MD and YPIC meetings as directed by the YPIC Chair. For the Summer 2006 semester, two students will be placed with YPIC. Placements will be made no later than June 1 and will last until the end of August. To apply, interested students should fill-out the application form and have atleast one teacher or other civic leader (non-related person) write a letter of reference. Please do not send more than three letters of reference. Applicants are encouraged to include an academic resume and writing sample. APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED!
